- No Password Storage: We never store or have access to streaming service passwords. OAuth 2.0 tokens are used securely.
- No Payment Information: We do not collect, store, or process any payment data.
- Minimal Data Principle: Only data strictly required for core functionality and social features is collected.
1.2. Data Collection, Use, and Consent
A. User-Provided Information
- Display Name (Mandatory) – visible to friends, in Parties, and on leaderboards.
- Profile Photo (Optional) – for social recognition.
- Email Address (Optional) – for account recovery and critical notifications only.
B. Streaming Service Data
- Current Playback Status – enables animated lyrics and Party sync.
- Playback History & Genre Tags – anonymized and aggregated for recommendations.
1.3. How We Use Your Data
Song Recommendation System:
BeatLRC processes anonymized data to generate generic recommendations, without personally identifying users.
Social & Party Features:
- Unique User ID and Display Name enable friends connections.
- Party System uses display name, profile photo, and current song metadata to synchronize experiences in real-time.
II. Terms of Service
2.1. Acceptance of Terms
By using BeatLRC, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2.2. User Accounts and Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Notify us immediately of any breach.
2.3. Acceptable Use
- No harassment, abuse, or hateful content.
- No infringement of intellectual property.
- No unauthorized access attempts.
- No impersonation or misrepresentation.
2.4. Intellectual Property
BeatLRC IP remains our property. Users retain ownership of their content, granting us a license to display it within the service.
2.5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". We disclaim all warranties, including uptime, error-free service, or virus-free status.
2.6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Disputes are resolved via binding arbitration in London, UK.
